Member Upgrade

I have two membership levels. Free, which is level 0. Paid, which is level 1.

For the upgrade button for members that want to go from level 0 to level 1, is it possible to just display the upgrade button for the basic members? I don't want to put the upgrade button the Sign up page because than everyone will see it.

Can I make it so that only level 0 members will see the upgrade button?

Yes, if you have it in the Login Welcome Page or some other page that requires the user to be logged in or be Level 0, then non-logged in members won't see it.

You can also use conditionals. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Simple/Shortcode Conditionals
