Fatal error when upgrading to version 111002

Postby mmdouce » October 3rd, 2011, 11:00 am

Hi All,

I just attempted an automatic upgrade S2Member to version 111002 and received this fatal error message:

Fatal error: Cannot break/continue 1 level in /home/fmmse/public_html/wp-content/plugins/s2member/includes/classes/no-cache.inc.php(156) : eval()'d code on line 1

I followed the instructions for upgrading, but still ran into the problem. I uninstalled the upgrade version via FTP and re-installed the earlier version and thankfully, the site is live again. Any others receive this error?

Thanks,
Michele

Thanks Eduan - appreciate the links to related discussions.

It appears we are in a holding pattern before upgrading.

It appears it's just a bug, once they find out they will definitely fix it.

Yes, Same error, but when I downgraded to the previous version now I get a new error "In order to load the s2Member Pro Module, you need the s2Member Framework, v111002+". In the meantime my membership site is not functioning

Thanks for these reports everyone.

s2Member v111003 will be released shortly, for the sole purpose of correcting this fatal error.
* (s2Member v111003) **Bug fix**. Fatal `eval()` error inside: `/includes/classes/no-cache.inc.php` due to an inappropriately placed call to PHP's eval() function.
Fixed in this release of s2Member v111003.
You should receive a notice to upgrade inside your Dashboard. If not, you can grab the latest release here. s2Member Pro customers can access the latest versions of both s2Member and s2Member Pro inside their accounts at s2Member.com. See: http://www.s2member.com/

* Our sincerest apologies for this inconvenience and possible down time.
