Clarification on Mailchimp integration

Postby echoleaf » November 12th, 2010, 11:06 am

Just wanted to be clear on this: each level of membership can be subscribed to multiple lists, based on list ID? For example:

Level 1: subscribed to weekly tips list
Level 2: subscribed to weekly tips list and monthly news list
Level 3: subscribed to autoresponder list and monthly news list (but not weekly tips)
etc.

Thanks!

Yes, that seems correct, just put the list ID's in the proper boxes separated by commas. Members will receive a confirmation and once confirmed they'll be added to the list.

Thank you! Do you know if it's possible to keep a list for 'members only?' ie, someone who's not a paid member could not join the list. What if someone finds the sign-up page for a list who's not a member?

I would think that finding the form to sign up would be nearly impossible as it's quite a unique URL. So as long as you don't go posting it publicly, you should be fine. All your lists should be 'members only' as long as you don't go posting the URLs or forms publicly.

Thank you again. I will have 1 public list, that potential members can sign up for, and then I'd like to have unique lists per membership level. s2member rocks!
