How to start download automatically after logging in

I have a site where people need to sign up/login to download files. They can view the list of all available files and if they like one, they can start the free download. The only requirement is that they sign up and login.

Right now after sign up/login they are redirected to the welcome page. How can I get a link on the welcome page for them to start the download of the particular file or redirect to start the download automatically once they have signed in?

The easiest thing to do would be to make a page with all of the download links and then set that as the welcome page in the s2member settings.
