conflict with Featured Content Gallery plugin

Hi-

We use the featured content gallery plugin to highlight our more popular content and I just noticed tonight that if you are not logged in, you can not see protected posts in the featured content slider . If you are logged in, it displays just fine. I thought the protected posts would display just fine in the slider and redirect a user to the subscription page if they are not logged in. Obviously not.
