help! PayPal buttons will not display...

I configured my PayPal account info in the s2Member PayPal options with the business account email and required API info. After I added the short codes to the options page I discovered that the PayPal buttons will not display on the page when I use the email address associated with my business PayPal account. If I change the PayPal email address in the s2Member PayPal options to my personal email (or any other email) the buttons auto-magically reappear. I need the buttons to display with the business PayPal account email so the plugin will work properly. any ideas?

Take a look into WP Admin -> S2member -> PayPal® Options -> Account Details and see if ALL the fields are correctly filled. Sometimes it's this that causes this problem.

Remember to create new buttons with the new info, just to make sure it works.

Also remember to report back.
Otherwise you leave me worrying.

thanks for the quick reply...I just triple checked the account details, everything is filled out correctly. per you advice I also just recreated the buttons and replaced the short code on the page....still no luck.

Have you tried going over the WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal® Buttons -> Shortcode Attributes ( Explained )?

It may help clear some things up, just check your button code compared to what's in this section.

yep, did that...remember, all i have to do is change the email address and the buttons reappear on the page. it is only when i use the email associated with the paypal account.

I just removed all the account info from tWP Admin -> S2member -> PayPal® Options -> Account Details and the button short code from the page. then I verified the paypal api info and re-entered it, generated new button short codes and added them to the page....still nothing. I'm hoping i dont have to reinstall s2 entirely.

By the way, you could try using a custom image for the button. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Buttons -> Shortcode Attributes -> image

let me provide some more detail to help....

I originally configured the s2 paypal options with my personal paypal account info (email & api info). when i got through the video tutorials i went a head and set up my business paypal account, came back into my settings and updated (only) the api info. when i did a test purchase, i discovered that it was paid 'from' and 'to' my personal paypal account. when i went back to the s2 paypal options, i noticed that i forgot to update the email address with the new business account email addy. i updated the email and this is when the issue started.

btw i was using custom images for the button..

I replaced image="default" with image="http://parklifemedia.com/.../images/ordernow.png"

Wow, that's very interesting. I've not heard of this happening before. If this problem continues, I would start taking a look at your other plugins. Any plugins installed that might be caching pages/object data? Have you tried clearing your own browser cache?

Is there any possibility that you might be getting redirected to a similar page ( i.e. same content, except no buttons? ) that's causing some confusion during testing?

Details received via email. Your site has a plugin and/or a theme that is applying content filters to Shortcode data. I would try disabling other plugins one at a time, or try changing your theme to the default WordPress theme to avoid this issue.
