Postby loewenberg » November 10th, 2011, 2:54 pm

hi. i would like to put the registration form on a page instead of using it on the default WP login screen. i know i can customize it but a page would be better. if i can't how can i call the registration page from inside the site?

Hi Mike,

s2Member uses the built-in WordPress registration process. If you want to put the registration form on its own WordPress page, you'll need to use a WordPress plugin such as Simplr Registration Form: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sim ... tion-form/

You can also use the pro-forms that the Pro version of s2Member uses, you can find them under WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal® Pro Forms.

Hope this helps. :)
Also remember to report back,
otherwise you leave me worrying. ;)

I have just upgraded to Pro to get access to the PayPal forms and they are not there in the listing on my Admin page?
Under sMember-> it just lists PayPal Options and PayPal Buttons?

Did you upgrade correctly? Is s2Member Pro really installed?
Check these links make sure it's installed correctly and check again:

the simplr plugin does create a form but that's not what i'm looking for. i'm building a site for my client (it's in maintenance mode now) where visitors will come there, decide to join, and complete the membership enrollment form. I have built the registration form with S2member and i want to be clear before i upgrade: does the pro version allow the registration form to be on a post or page?

what would also work is a link that opens the registration form in the standard wp signon screen. that would be two clicks tho.... a login & then the register link. unless there's a way you can suggest?

thanks.

Cheers Eduan

It seems that it did at least change from the free install, but I will check to see if it has done it all. Can I remover it and then re-install - I do not have any members in there currently.

@loewenberg
Yes the pro forms allow you to post it on a page or a post or anywhere you want and also it is what you want, a form that allows them to fill it and register on the spot.

@virtuallight
Yes you can remove it and put it there again, just follow the instructions on this post in order not to lose your s2Member settings: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=247

@virtuallight
OK.

@loewenberg
Absolutely, they will be retained, all the pro version does is add more functions.

Hi. I wanted to let you know that I bought the developer's license, added the folder to the WP installation, and put the registration form on the appropriate webpage. It worked perfectly! Thank you.

There are some cool features in the Pro version: conditionals and coupon codes, for example. Nice job!
