General Options display problem

Postby availlive » January 6th, 2011, 3:51 am

Hi, I have just installed the s2Member Plugin and have problems loading the general options page correctly. Please see link: http://www.webpagescreenshot.info/img/5 ... 11104738AM
Since it is displayed like this, I am unable to add custom fields to the registration page.
Please help. Thanks.

The GUI looks weird, you don't have the collapse/expand feature for the boxes. It seems like a JavaScript problem, which is probably what's causing the custom fields input to not show there (just guessing).

Why don't you try different browsers until the interface looks the way it should and see if that fixes your input field problem?

Thanks for the reply but I've tried using Firefox and Chrome and still no luck. :cry:

Hopefully someone can point me to the right direction.

Is JavaScript working properly with those browsers in other pages?

OK. Then it's specific to s2Member. I imagine the other s2Member pages have the same issue, or is it just the General one?

Did you check the source code for the page and see if s2Member's CSS and JS are there? Try opening each of those files and see if you get any errors.

OK. I looked at the source code in my install and it is JavaScript what adds the custom fields. Go to your General Settings page and look for this code, see if it's there.

Code: Select all
<div id="ws-plugin--s2member-custom-reg-field-configuration"><div id="ws-plugin--s2member-custom-reg-field-configuration-tools"><a href="#" onclick="ws_plugin__s2member_customRegFieldAdd(); return false;">Add New Field</a></div>

Your blog seems to be changed by GoDaddy to display their ads, if you have the same thing happening in the admin area, maybe that's what's affecting the proper function of the JavaScript for the interface.
