Page Restrictions Not Taking Affect

I am having an hard time getting S2 Member to work. I have watched 3 of the into tutorial videos and either something is not working with my site or I am missing something so completely obvious ...

I am just trying to making my investor page (source: http://vencedorenergy.com) a membership portion of my website. I am not sure why, but S2 member is not restricting the page despite having followed the directions.

Does it have anything to do with my page also being my blog ... or the fact that it links to other pages (that will also need to be 'hidden' or locked down?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Try going under WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options -> Alternative View Protection ( please read ) configure what's there and see if that solves the problem.

Ugh ... nothing seems to be different. I enabled all the Alternative View Protection Options (except for the one that hides the page in the nav bar) and the page is still no protected.

Any other advice? What are some things that I could have done wrong during the set up that might be making this happen?

Update:

Protecting other pages seems to work. I am assuming the problem is being created by protecting my blog ... are there any settings that I should enable to allow this to work?
