avatar code

Hi all, I can see from searching the forum that there don't seem to be any avatar plugins that display an image upload facility on the register and update profile pages that are generated by s2 member.

Can anyone share their code that used to modify S2 member so members can add pictures when registering at the least please?

I'll also be upgrading to Pro soon so confirmation the code will work with pro would be useful!

Hi Raam, thanks for the reply, I had seen that thread - I noticed some people mentioned they had edited the code to get it to work for them and wondered if they would be able to share.

Do you have any idea when the feature might be added to s2member and released? My client really needs the functionality. Also do you guys ever take commissions/payment from people like myself if they want these features early?

Hi Zoe,

As far as I know, the lead developer is currently focusing all his time on whatever the planned features are for the next update. I do not believe he's currently taking on any other work, but I've forwarded on your inquiry just in case.

I unfortunately don't have any insight into exactly what features are planned for the next release, but in the other thread he did say "a future release of s2Member will include this feature".

If this feature is really important to you and you can't wait, I suggest hiring a freelancer to do a custom job. You can see here for more details: viewtopic.php?t=4158

Hi Ramm, Thanks for putting the request in, please let me know what they say!

My concern with getting someone external to do the job (or doing it myself) is that I don't want to effect future upgrades of s2member for the client. If any s2member plugin code has to be altered surely it will disappear when the next upgrade is made....

That's a very understandable concern and in that case the only thing we can really do is wait until that feature is officially released by s2Member.

It could be some months. Not really sure at this point.

Have you searched other plugins that could add an avatar to your WordPress user profiles?
