s2member admin CSS changed?

Postby raygulick » December 10th, 2011, 12:40 pm

Recently, when viewing s2Member admin pages, all the nice organized show/hide boxes for things like email configuration (under "General Options") have disappeared and the pages appear as one long page without any discreet show/hide capabilities. Also, form items are affected: for instance, all textarea boxes are about 2 inches wide.

I am not the only person with admin access on this website. Is there a setting someone may have inadvertently clicked to turn off CSS for s2member? I re-uploaded the s2Member basic plugin and that did not change anything; did not re-upload the pro plugin.

Two things:
1. the video describes a different issue (content disappearing). For me the the content is there, but not enclosed or organized in the show/hide boxes.
2. and this is weird, but when I went back to the admin to try to find the conflict as suggested in the video, everything looked normal again!?!

So the problem is resolved, but I have no idea why or how (which is almost more disturbing than having the problem in the first place). Thanks for your help.

The problem was related to JavaScript, which is the same cause for the blank pages mentioned in the video. The steps to try solve it suggested by Jason are the same, though, that's why Eduan suggested watching it.

I'm glad it fixed itself. Your JS probably had a problem that time for some odd reason, but nothing permanent.

If it comes back, you can try changingt he theme to the default or deactivating other plugins one by one until the problem goes away and you'll know what was causing it.
