Using S2 Member like shopping cart software?

I'm considering s2Pro and haven't been able to figure out if I can use s2 Member so sell single products. I'd like for it to behave like a shopping cart. Add cart items and then checkout. List of items you own would then appear in your account area.

Furthermore, I'd like to be able to then sell those customers updates to other products, based on the products they own. For example, only customers who own product x could update to product x.v2 for a price.

Is this possible without advanced customizations?

Not without customizations, Josh. s2Member doesn't have a cart feature yet.
