aWeber Email Parser - Different from Video

Postby AnnaSkye » December 11th, 2011, 11:24 pm

I am trying to hook my s2Member into aWeber. I already have it set up to work with MailChimp which has been great, but we have been notified by MailChimp that since my client is a Financial Planner that they do not allow stock or any financial oriented topics to be sent on their servers.

So I have my lists on MC and I'm trying to move everyone over to aWeber. Following the steps on this thread (viewtopic.php?f=36&t=15496) to set up the custom email parser for aWeber, it's a little different. You can no longer check the PayPal Orders option, it forces you to complete the following connection to PayPal (see the screen shot attached).

1) Now I'm a little stick as how to proceed since I'm not sure if I should integrate the PyPal order notifications. Has the steps to connect aWeber changed?

2) Does anyone know what will happen if I set up the API List server in s2Member to point from MC to aWeber? Will it auto move over the members or do I have to import them manually?

Thanks,
Anna

Hi Anna.

You can change the List Server in s2Member, just remove the configuration you have for MailChimp and configure the AWeber one. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / List Servers

Now, making that change will only cause s2Member to deal with the new service, it won't move the users you have in MC over to AW. You'll have to find the instructions on how to migrate them from one service to the other, probably in the AW support area.

About the screenshot, is that something you get instead of the built-in PayPal Email Parser in AWeber? If so, I'd say you should configure the custom parser for s2Member as Jason instructs in the thread you linked to.

In Jasons' video this page come up in aWeber when I checked the PayPal box. I had Eduan do a the intregration for me and he simply left it un checked so you don't have to deal with these options. I seems to be working.
