Hi All, I was wondering if there is any documentation that outlines how the MailChimp integration with s2member works? I was mainly wondering 2 things:

1. What happens if someone unsubscribes from the mailchimp list?

2. Is there a way to add an email opt in checkbox or radio buttons to my registration forms, that will automatically work with the s2member/mailchimp integration?

I also need to know where in the database the email preference is stored as I need to make sure all my imported members are on the mailing list.

If I had to guess, changes made in MailChimp aren't going to pass to s2member. That would be a pretty sophisticated API integration... and I'm not seeing that level of sophistication with many MailChimp plugins. I actually can't think of a full integration with any platform that updates both ways.

Hi Mckanea, thanks for the response - so how about if someone was removed from the WordPress users list, would they be deleted from the MailChimp list too?

Zoe, when they get removed from WordPress or demoted, the MailChimp side would be updated if you set it that way in your preferences. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / List Servers -> Automate

The integration is s2Member->MailChimp, not MailChimp->s2Member. I remember someone writing the latter one and posting it some time ago... Found it: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10289

The opt-in option during registration can be enabled your List Server options. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / List Servers -> Registration
