Paypal button not showing up

Hi - I have set all the parameters for using payments pro but when i paste the short code or the button code into my site i only get the word "paypal" and when you click on that you get an error message "bad request"

any idea what the problem might be?

The only problem I can see is that you have not enabled Button Encryption under s2member > PayPal® Account Details > Enable Button Encryption

enable that then generate your buttons again

hopefully that will fix it

I'm having a similar problem, I can get the button to show up on my page using this shorcode:

But then I get this message on the Paypal side:

Invalid Regular period. You must specify valid values for the A3, P3, and T3 parameters for a subscription.

Any thoughts?

Is it something to do with your markup? http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... ne&group=0 I see lots of closing tags </p> but no opening tags, when you insert the shortcode into the page can you remove the whitespace before it, maybe that will stop the <p> tags being generated

I ended up having to make buttons straight from Paypal. The s2Member button generator never went to the correct page... but I think I've got it figure out now...

Jordan, if you use buttons created over at PayPal, you need to follow Jason's instructions so the buttons are integrated with s2Member correctly. viewtopic.php?f=36&t=309#p1333

The problem with your shortcode is in the parsing. Your theme or another plugin is affecting the shortcode parsing and causing you that error. To find which, you can try, as a test, to change the theme to the default and see if the button now works. If that doesn't do it, then remove other plugins one by one testing after each.

You can also try the TrueEdit plugin and disable all filters except the do_shortcode one, see if that fixes the parsing. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/trueedit/
