Delete credit cards images

Postby javy97 » December 23rd, 2011, 11:20 am

Hi:

I have s2members Pro, but I only want to accept PayPal in my website, because I haven't got a SSL certificate and I want that my users pay after complete the form.

I customize the buttons and I delete Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Maestro and Solo; but the credit card images continue in grey. Can I delete this images and show only the PayPal image?

Otherwise, in the bottom of the form, I can see a horizontal scrollbar, but there isn't any content and I see all form without displacing. Can I delete the scrollbar?

Thanks! :D

What you can do is change the following things that you might find in your pro-form's shortcode:
Step #1. Ask PayPal® to activate Express Checkout for you. (free)
Express Checkout will give you API Credentials, and you'll enter these into: s2Member -> PayPal Options -> PayPal® Account Details.

Step #2. In the Shortcodes provided by s2Member Pro... change this: accept_via_paypal="paypal" to this instead: accept_via_paypal="paypal,visa,mastercard,amex,discover,maestro,solo".

Or you can do this:
Log into your PayPal® account, and navigate to Profile -> API Access (or Request API Credentials). You'll choose (Request API Signature). Now... here is the tricky part; whenever you generate a Pro Form Shortcode with s2Member, be sure to change accept="paypal, visa, mastercard, amex, discover, maestro, solo" to just accept="paypal"; thereby excluding the on-site credit card processing functionality; which is available only with PayPal® Pro.

I'm not sure which one will remove them but it won't hurt to do both.
As I understand it the accept="" attribute controls which button icons are visible, and the accept_via_paypal="" controls which payment methods will ultimately lead to the user to PayPal.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks!

Now, I can delete the credit cards image via FTP (see the image).

Before that and after that, the circle option appears on the right of the PayPal image, when it should be under. In the area of coupons, something similar happens.

Why? How can I fix it?

Thanks! :D

P.S. In the .POT file, the text "We Accept PayPal®" doesn't appears and I can't translate it... The other thing that I want to fix, is the scrollbar under the checkout button (I'm trying to change it for the same image in Spanish, I would be very grateful for your help in that) ¡It's all! ;)

OK, did you actually delete the images that should go there? If so, try putting them on again.

And also, you might wanna do an incompatibility check, disable all the plugins (not s2Member) one by one until the problem goes away, remember to test the form each time you enable/disable each one plugin in order to see if that was it. If it was the plugin please tell us which plugin it was.

If that doesn't fix it please try changing to the default TwentyEleven theme and see if it works.

Please tell me how it goes.

P.S. In english you don't use the starting ¡, only the ending ! .
Hope this helps. :)

OK, thanks for reporting back, really appreciate it.
You're welcome!
Glad I was able to help you. :)

Could you please give me the name of the theme? I'm trying to maintain a list of in-compatible themes and plugins.

Thanks once again.

Hola Javy.

This may help you have that theme work without causing a JavaScript conflict. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15824&p=52752#p52752 :)
