Automated upgrade of member level possible?

Hi, I am wondering ... is it possible to make a subscription button that includes an automated upgrade to member level 2 after the first month?

$1 first month, member level 1
$29 the following months, member level 2

Any tips how to achieve this are very much appreciated, thanks!

Would this be an option in the pro version?

I am using Pro, so don't know if this is available in the free version, but you can do 1 month sign up for $1 then make them pay a higher monthly rate under the section where you make the paypal buttons. I don't think you can change the subscriber level, but you could use custom capabilities like shown in this post so they have to be registered a certain number of days before being able to access it:

You could avoid the upgrade to Level 2 by making them Level 2 off the bat, but limit with conditionals what they can see until 30 days have passed after registration.
