don't need login welcome page, I think?

I am just about to open the doors to my site and am working on last details. I just posted a question about the Login Welcome page a short while ago, but after reading here and thinking about it, I wonder what I need that page for?

My site is entirely private with only one level of membership. With a friend and my husband testing the site for me, they seem to stay logged in and can return over and over the site via bookmark and not have to login.
So I don't really see the point of a Login Welcome page and would think that members would want to go straight to the home page to see what is new. Am I missing something?

I know I am not supposed to "bump" a post...but this has been up for 24 hours with no answer, so I am wondering if anyone has an opinion or insight. I hope to go live with my site on Sat. so I must get these things sorted.

Hi, what I think is that you need that page.

Since it's required by s2Member, I think, and there is no harm in having it there.

You don't need a Login Welcome Page, but if you're not going to create one then I recommend you set the Login Welcome Page to the Home Page (there's a box at the bottom where you can type a URL instead of selecting a Login Welcome Page... just put the URL for your home page in there and users will be redirected there after logging in).

By the way, you can always test the Login Welcome Page by logging in as a test user and making sure that you're redirected to the home page.
