Automate Renewal and Keep User Info?

Hi,
My client cannot afford the PayPal subscription fee right now, but he wants to offer monthly subscriptions as well as annual subscriptions. Is there away we can automate their renewal so they keep their member info intact or is it going to be like a new membership registration every time? Can they renew with the same user name and password without a subscription?

Which PayPal subscription fee are you referring to? The Website Payments Pro fee or just the standard fees? (PayPal® Services / A Quick Comparison viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2634)

Are you using s2Member Pro or the free version?

The client is good with Website Payments Pro to keep users on site, but the extra recursive fee is the too much part.

If you don't want members' accounts to be deleted when they expire, simple set the Automatic EOT behavior (WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Automatic EOT Behavior to demote instead of delete.

As for the recurring subscriptions problem: I don't know of any way to get around paying for recurring subscriptions when using PayPal Website Payments Pro. If you need recurring subscriptions and you have Website Payments Pro, you need to have the recurring option.
