Registration set to NO, but can still register???

Hi,

I have s2member > General Options > Open Registration set to NO (Do not allow open registration).

In my General WP settings the registeration is unchecked so users cant register.

However when i go to my site /wp-admin the registration option below the s2member is open, and you can actually click on it and register to the site?

I would like a message saying registration closed or something. But as far as i can see the settings say its DISABLED but i can still register?

Any ideas / help?

I had this problem before due to conflicting wordpress plugins. Are you by chance using any plugins that might over ride s2member? For me I think it was simple-press that was allowing it, once I changed that it was all back to normal
