does it work with Sagepay?

Hi,

I have a client who wants to accept one time payment fee for participating in a competition, but he wants it to be with sagepay, not paypal
is this possible with s2member?

Not out of the box, but you may be able to make it do it...

Here's a post that talks about integrating with ClickBank when it was still not supported by s2Member, and may help you to achieve that integration you want with SagePay:
