Hide Custom Fields on Registration - Show in Edit Profile

Postby launch7667 » March 15th, 2011, 10:25 pm

Trying to figure out how to add custom fields in the edit profile page, but NOT in the registration form.

I have a handful of profile fields (10-15 or so )that I'd like to collect from members , but they won't know the answers until after they become members.

Is there a way to hide fields on the registration form?

Thanks.

I'm sorry. This is not possible in the current version of s2Member. However, we''ll be sure to add this ability in the next release of s2Member v3.5.5. Thanks for the great suggestion.

== Changelog excerpt v3.5.5 ( development version ) ==
* **(s2Member). New feature.** It is now possible to configure Custom Registration Fields with s2Member that are NOT actually visible during the registration process. Instead, they will only be visible after registration ( i.e. during a Profile edit ). In order to accomplish this, you will need to choose this option from the dropdown menu for a specific Custom Registration Field that you configure with s2Member. This option is in the dropdown menu entitled: `Allow Profile Edits?`. You can choose: `Yes ( editable after registration / invisible during registration )`.
* **(s2Member Pro). Bug fix.** s2Member Pro Forms for Free Registration were not picking up Custom Registration Fields configured at specific Membership Levels; other than Level #0. This has been resolved in s2Member Pro v1.5.5+.
* This version should be available in a couple of days.

Hi hardline.

Yeah, it's there already. I gave you a more detailed reply in the other thread you asked about this. ;)

hi,

I need this option too - where is the other post this is described in? Or where in the s2member admin can I find information about this?

Thanks again for a great app.

UPDATE - guess I found it in the "add custom fields" as a selection in the drop down - perfect; thanks.
