Can I set up two Free membership levels?

Hi,

I am trying to establish the Level 4 membership category as a second free membership. Does anyone know how I can do this avoiding the need to send to Paypal?

Hi Dan.

Could you please explain in more detail what you're trying to achieve?

I'd like to make clear how Levels work in s2Member:

Membership Levels provide incremental access:

* A Member with Level 4 access, will also be able to access Levels 0, 1, 2 & 3.
* A Member with Level 3 access, will also be able to access Levels 0, 1 & 2.
* A Member with Level 2 access, will also be able to access Levels 0 & 1.
* A Member with Level 1 access, will also be able to access Level 0.
* A Subscriber with Level 0 access, will ONLY be able to access Level 0.

* WordPress® Subscribers are at Membership Level 0. If you're allowing Open Registration, Subscribers will be at Level 0 ( a Free Subscriber ). WordPress® Administrators, Editors, Authors, and Contributors have Level 4 access, with respect to s2Member. All of their other Roles/Capabilities are left untouched.

Why do you need a second free level? Why isn't one enough?

I am not sure why this user wants this access, but I have a similar need. I have a current process in place for my members which includes a diffferent process and a different payment gateway and many of them are "paid" through this Other gateway. But, as I change over to this new system, I want to grant them access to a higher level that the "free" membership without forcing them to pay again. Is there a way that on a case by case basis I can "grant" a person upper levels of membership without their paying for it?

Hi cven. Yes, you can edit their profiles and change their Level manually from there. Or, if you have s2Member Pro, use the Import tool to edit a bunch in bulk.

Thanks for responding Cristian, I did try to change the membership level manually but when I did that the login welcome page will not show up for that user. It seems to continually TRY to load but never does. Any suggestions??
