changing level for all members

Postby camillemm » April 5th, 2011, 7:41 am

Hello,
I need to create a new profile below the existing ones. For the moment I've got Level 1 and 2. I need to move the members to Level 2 and 3 with the same configuration to create my new Level 1. Will it reset all duration of subscription ?
Example: somebody is Level 2 and there is 3 monthes left to his one year subscription. When moving to Level 3 (same configuration as "old Level 2"), will he get again a one year subscription ?

No, it is fine to do that. You can move your Members around, change their Levels, Capabilities, etc; without affecting their billing plan in any way. It is fine to do this through your WordPress Dashboard. Just make sure that you don't delete the Paid Subscr. ID that is tied to their account. By default, that data is preserved at all times, you would need to delete the account for that information to be lost. In other words, changing Access Levels is fine :-)
