I'm getting a lot of spam signups on the site coming from the eastern bloc... any way to block certain domains from being allowed to sign up? (they're all using @blog4us.eu email addresses.)

I searched for plugins that do this and found a couple that may help you:

Haven't tried either one with s2Member, though. If you do, could you report back if they're compatible?

tried the second one... so far so good! The only drag is that you can't add domains to it unless you go through a long complicated process, so I'm hoping someone else added that spammy domain.

So you didn't try the first one or you tried but it didn't work?

actually, I didn't try the first one because it said compatible up to 2.5.1.

The problem with the second one (which didn't work for my purposes) was that you can't use it to block a domain. It checks a third-party service that keeps a spammer DB. Testing the first one now, will report back!

FYI: When s2Member is running on a Multisite Network, it will respect domain restrictions imposed at the Network level; which would provide you with the exact functionality that you need here. I'm not sure if this feature is worth updating your installation to Multisite Mode or not; but I just thought I would share this.

When Multisite Networking is enabled, see:
WordPress Dashboard -> Network Admin -> Network Settings -> Banned Email Domains.

Hey,
I´ve just installed the TTC registration bot detector. Since a few days, some xxx@lkmail.net mails joind my blog. That's spam for sure! In the next few days, I will see, if these domains are punished for all time

In TTC you can create a custom blacklist, using domainnames or Ips. I hope it will work

I've tested to register an account using the blacklisted @lkmail.net domain. This domain was able to create an account

looks like the TTC is not compatible with me WP-Buddypress installation...
Is there another chance, to create a registration blacklist for such domains?

I think it'd be good if you contact that plugin's developer and encourage him to update it and keep improving it.
